HiFi Rose RS250A Streamer – Updated Product

The Korean brand HiFi Rose has recently announced the updated RS250A, a high performance, audiophile, network streamer DAC, and pre-amplifier. Looking identical to its earlier sibling, the RS250, the “A” version offers upgraded DAC, clock, electronics and a black finish option.
The RS250A is designed around the HiFi Rose operating system and a new ES9028 PRO DAC chip. Utilizing the advantages of the new ultra-low phase noise 100MHz Femto oscillator and the new discrete op-amp technology for the output stage; it supports hi-res audio files up to 32-bit / 768KHz PCM and Native DSD512 (22.5792MHz). Helping to keep noise and distortion down to an absolute minimum the RS250A uses a full linear power supply circuit and it is understood that audio and control data are handled separately in order to ensure that control data never impacts the sound qulaity.
The front panel 8.8″ 4K IPS multi-touch screen not only displays 4K P60 video, album art and system data, but together with its volume/mute rotary control provides overall system management together with the RoseConnect Premium app for Apple® and Android™ devices, and/or the included Bluetooth remote.
The RS250A supports Rose operating system apps for TIDAL (full MQA decoding), Qobuz and Apple Music, with music videos from TIDAL, Bugs Video and RoseTube etc. being displayed on the 8.8″ screen or via the HDMI 2.0 output. It is Roon Ready and supports both Spotify Connect and AirPlay. Music and video files can be played from a local storage device (USB or SATA) or on your home network with a DLNA connection to any NAS drives or other storage devices. You can add additional internal SSD storage (up to 4TB) in an internal bay and up to 10TB of external HDD.
Extensive digital and analog connectivity is available on the rear panel making the RS250A more than just a streamer and compatible with multiple sources such as; amplifiers, active speakers, CD player and a CD-Rom drive for ripping. All taking advantage of the audiophile DAC performance. For those personal listening sessions a high-quality headphone output is provided on the front panel.
