HiFi Rose has just announced the RS151 Network Streamer that incorporates a number of new technologies and upgrades over the RS150B Network Streamer, arriving with a completely re-engineered digital processing core. The RS151 now features the ROSE DPC module, the latest ESS ES9039PRO DAC chip, and an upgraded Femto Clock, that significantly reduces jitter, improves signal accuracy and supporting PCM-to-DSD512 upsampling. The precision-machined solid aluminum chassis minimizes vibrations while maximizing thermal efficiency, helping ensure pristine audio performance in any environment.

The RS151 introduces a larger 15.4-inch full HD multi-touch display, an upgrade over the previous generation’s 14.9-inch screen. It supports their customizable user interface (UI) to include advanced visual elements like VU meters, enhancing both form and function.

The upgraded 8-core processor, (which is 4x faster than its predecessor), 8GB RAM, and 32GB storage delivers eight times the graphics performance of its predecessor. Running on a customized Android 12 based ROSE OS, it supports seamless music playback from; local storage to include 2.5-inch SSD drives, Micro SD cards, and external USB or NAS storage, streaming services, and CD ripping via an external optical drive. It is compatible with Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and internet radio, with this improved architecture supporting Hi-Res files, is ROON Ready and provides full MQA decoding. It also now features a 4K HDMI output and includes improved COAX & AES/EBU sampling rates, plus Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX.

The RS151’s analogue stage incorporates the Rose Noise Reduction Analog (NRA) filter, minimizing interference and ensuring a flat frequency response. An advanced low noise linear toroidal power supply enhances stability and suppresses unwanted noise, while the inclusion of high-quality components, including MELF resistors and WIMA capacitors all help to further reduce noise and distortion.

Control is available via the front panel touch screen, the new and improved IR remote control or using the Rose Connect app which is available for iOS, Android, and PC, all allowing you to manage playback, system settings, and streaming services with ease. The addition of a trigger I/O also enables easier integration with other HiFi components.
