Goldmund Eidos Streamer – Quick Look

Goldmund, in collaboration with Netherlands-based Pink Faun, has launched their first streamer, the Goldmund x Pink Faun Eidos Streamer. This music server and streamer is tailored to complement Goldmund’s active wireless speaker collection. This new streamer is designed to offer wireless or wired (dual S/PDIF) connections and is housed in a CNC-milled aluminum chassis that is available in a grey or black finish and is equipped with Goldmunds signature feet.

At the heart of the Eidos Streamer lies the Pink Faun proprietary OS, designed exclusively for optimal Roon Core compatibility, ensuring seamless integration with your music library and supporting ongoing updates. Goldmund-exclusive customizations fine-tune the OS for superior performance, including CPU timing noise shaping and integration with Goldmund active speakers.

Internally we are told that the motherboard-centered grounding system powered by multiple microprocessors minimizes interference and a passive cooling system with water-filled heat pipes ensures silent, stable operation.

The Edios streamer has 8TB of internal storage to house your music collection and provides direct access to streaming platforms such as; TIDAL, Qobuz, and KKBOX, all through the intuitive Roon app.

Connectivity is available via both wireless and wired. The design includes a dual coaxial S/PDIF output board and USB audio port for wired configurations. Other rear panel connections include a USB data port and the Ethernet RJ45 network.

General control is available via the Roon remote app, accessible via smartphones, tablets, and desktops, while access to the Control Panel is available via a web browser.
