Gold Note’s all new T-5 belt drive turntable is available in an elegant black lacquer finish, topped out with their B-5.2 tone arm and includes a removable dust cover in transparent acrylic and adjustable feet.

This compact turntable features a completely new design featuring a carefully machined 30mm thick high density fiberboard (HDF) lacquered plinth, that has been refined by removing material at various strategic points; around the motor, the bearing and the edges, to create a shape that according to Gold Note, “minimizes resonance by breaking the transmission pattern of vibrations”.

Sitting atop this new plinth design is a 15mm thick platter made of ultra-clear glass that is driven by a high-precision 12 volt synchronous motor for smooth and stable rotation. The platter is supported by a precision inverted bearing that uses a chromed steel 5mm ball bearing that is said to “increase the stability of the platter while also ensuring frictionless rotation”. Manual speed selections of 33⅓rpm and 45rpm are available.

Additional vibration control is provided by the custom anti-vibration and adjustable feet.

The T5 includes the Gold Note 9″ B-5.2 arm, but no cartridge. This fixed-head tonearm supports various adjustments to suit a range of cartridges, to include; tracking weight, anti-skating and VTA (arm height) and includes a calibration tool for adjusting the cartridge alignment of overhang and zenith.
