Fosi Audio, a budget-conscious Chinese Hi-Fi brand that made a name with its compact amps, DACs, and recently, bookshelf speakers, is now launching its debut vinyl player, the Luna3. This first turntable focuses upon solid design and is a no frills stripped-back design offering; a clean signal delivery, essential features, and future upgradeability.

The Luna3 minimalist aesthetics feature; a matte-black integrated plinth, transparent acrylic platter with orange platter matt, and a precision-machined aluminum tonearm that comes with a factory installed Audio-Technica VM95E moving magnet (MM) cartridge. However, it omits a built-in phono stage, instead offering a pure analogue output that allows users to pair it with their own external phono amp.

The acrylic platter is belt driven using a copper core motor with electronically switchable speeds of 33.3 and 45RPM that are servo-controlled using a Hall sensor providing a speed regulation of ±0.11%. The stylus and headshell are replaceable, and the arm comes with manual anti-skating and tracking force adjustments.

Added features include; a trigger output to turn supporting equipment on, and a defeatable auto stop.
