FiiO SR11 Streaming Receiver – Quick Look

FiiO have just released a very affordable way of adding streaming to your legacy hi-fi, active speakers and radios, the SR11 music streaming receiver.

The SR11 is a high-performance lossless music streamer that can also be partnered with a pair of active speakers for accessing all the popular music streaming services. Its relatively compact size makes the SR11 a perfect fit for the FiiO K11 DAC and headphone amp. Both units creating a powerful headphone-based hi-fi system that’s small enough to fit on most work desks. This compact unit is wrapped in a silver or black aluminum alloy body with a front-panel LCD display screen.

The SR11 lets you access music streaming services like Tidal, Spotify and Amazon Music in Hi-Res audio formats or playback from local network attached storage (NAS). It receives Roon Ready (certification in process) and AirPlay 2 streams over 1G Ethernet or 2.4G+5.0G dual-band wifi before sending them of to an external DAC connected via TOSLINK, coaxial, USB-A or USB-C, and supports 768kHz/32 bit files and DSD256.

Control is available via the single front panel knob, the supplied IR remote or via any phone, laptop or tablet, with the front panel LCD display showing; the operating mode, sample rate, network status, and volume.
