Denon Releases DNP-2000NE Network Player

Denon has just announced the upcoming availability of the new DNP-2000NE high resolution audio Network Player/Streamer. This versatile player is based upon the HEOS platform, supports high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/384kHz and compliments the Denon PMA-1700NE Amplifier and DCD- 1700NE CD Player.

Based upon Denon’s Home Entertainment Operating System (HEOS) means that streaming is a snap from a large range of services to include; Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, Deezer, internet radio and more, as well as from networked devices like NAS drives. While the HEOS mobile app (Android and iOS), allows you to create playlists for use on Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple’s Siri for voice control. For those who prefer to use their own control apps, the DNP-2000NE also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect.

Featuring Denon’s Ultra AL32 Processing Plus and DAC Master Clock design, together with four high-precision 32-bit/384kHz ESS ES9018K2M DAC’s that are configured in a double-differential-mode, this player supports up-sampling to 384kHz and bit-extensions to 32-bit, with the asynchronous USB Type B connection supporting native hi-res digital files, including DSD256. All this processing is driven by Denon’s Master Clock design which suppresses jitter and the isolation of the analogue and digital circuit boards and independent power supply connections all helping to prevent interference.

Connectivity is wide with the DN-2000NE supporting; wi-fi, wired Ethernet, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and DLNA. There are two optical and one coaxial digital inputs, the USB Type B DAC input and front panel USB A. Digital output is supported via one coaxial and one optical connection, while analog output is available via either the fixed or variable stereo unbalanced RCA connectors. HDMI ARC provides connectivity to your TV (allowing display of album art and song information) or hi-fi, also allowing control of the DNP-2000NE using your TV remote.

Control is via the HEOS app, front panel controls or the included IR remote, with wired IR control avilable from a compatible Denon device. The front panel LCD displays song, timing and file information.

Finally for those private and late night listening sessions the front panel also supports a headphone socket.
