Denon Home Amp – Streaming Integrated Audio Hub – First Look

Denon have announced a competing product to their sister companies Marantz M1, the Home Amp streaming integrated audio hub, just add speakers and your favorite audio sources. This shoebox-sized streaming amplifier is designed to bring legacy two-channel systems into the modern HEOS ecosystem, fitting seamlessly into any household setup.
This small hi-fi component supports NAS and USB storage and wireless HEOS streaming (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) for; Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, SiriusXM, Amazon Music, Tidal, Tidal HiRes, iHeartRadio, Deezer, Deezer HiFi, Mood:Mix, Sony Hi-Res, AWA, QPlay, SoundCloud and Bluetooth 4.2. With stereo file format compatibility to include; WMA: up to and including 192 kbps, AAC & MP3: up to and including 320 kbps, WAV, ALAC, FLAC: up to and including 24-bit/192kHz and DSD: 2.8 MHz, 5.6MHz.
The HEOS system enables the Home Amp to seamlessly slip into a multi-room setup, supporting up to 64 zones of Hi-Res audio streaming, and bring its streaming abilities to your legacy hi-fi gear. Its generous 100W of power per channel into 8 Ohms is said to have been tuned by the Denon Sound Master, Shinichi Yamauchi for a more dynamic sound.
Rear panel connectivity includes; digitized stereo RCA line-in and a subwoofer out plus HDMI eARC providing a convenient one-cable connection to with most modern TVs. Digital ports feature USB, Ethernet, and optical.
Finally, multiple control options are available that include; capacitive front-panel touch buttons, the HEOS app, ethernet, wireless and infra-red. Systems control compatibility including; Crestron, Control4 and AMX.
