Blue Note Records – Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series
Blue Note Records is an American jazz record label that is owned by the Universal Music Group. It was established in 1939 by Alfred Lion and Max Margulis deriving its name from the blue notes of jazz and the blues. The label was originally dedicated to recording traditional jazz and small group swing but switched its attention to modern jazz around 1947.
Blue Note Records has announced the 2021-2022 Tone Poet Audiophile Reissue Series release schedule. Produced by Joe Harley, AKA “The Tone Poet”, these are all-analog, 180g audiophile vinyl reissues mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio from the original master tapes. RTI pressed in Camarillo, CA and packaged in deluxe Stoughton Printing “old style” Gatefold Tip-On jackets.
