Audio-Technica Announces AT-LP7X Turntable

Audio-Technica has announced the Audio-Technica AT-LP7X Turntable, a fully manual, belt-drive turntable. The turntable is supplied complete with tonearm, external power supply, MM cartridge, built-in MM/MC RIAA phono pre-amp, dust cover, RCA cable and 45 RPM adapter.
The AT-LP7X features a matte black finish and solid construction with a plinth made from dense MDF to help reduce unwanted resonances. The low vibration, high density, 20mm-thick acrylic platter is supported by a stainless-steel spindle that features a thermal-plastic, sheet-type bearing at its base, ensuring low-frictional rotation helping to control vibration during playback. Additional platter isolation is avilable by using the optional cork and rubber slip matt.
The belt-driven acrylic platter supports both 33⅓ and 45 RPM playback and uses an optical speed-sensor system to maintain consistent platter rotation. The motor is mounted using a vibration-damping support system, and spring-based isolation feet are fitted to help reduce external vibrations.
The included J-shaped aluminum tonearm uses a dual-axis gimbal system with precision bearings and comes with a detachable AT-LT10 headshell that is fitted with factory aligned AT-VM95E moving magnet (MM) cartridge with an elliptical stylus. The tonearm provides various adjustments to support alternative cartridges, to include; Vertical tracking angle, anti-skate control, additional subcounterweight(s), overhang and tracking force
The Audio-Technica AT-LP7X includes a built-in, switchable phono pre-amplifier that supports both MM and MC cartridges. This allows the turntable to be connected directly to systems without a dedicated phono input, while also offering flexibility for those using external phono stages. Standard RCA outputs are supplied, along with suitable cabling.
Finally an external power supply is included to further isolate electrical noise from the main chassis.
